ABOUT THE DEVELOPER
The Forrester Group is a locally based property developer with in excess of 40 years’ experience in property development and construction on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and interstate.
Their wealth of knowledge and experience provides a track record of successful development projects ranging from land subdivisions (Peregian Springs) to high rise residential apartments (Peninsular Beachfront Resort & Mantra Mooloolaba Beach); A good working relationship with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council; and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
THE PRINCIPALS
Rod Forrester
Rod is a registered builder and property developer and started his own building company on the Sunshine Coast in 1977. He is a founding director of the Aveo Group, formerly FKP Property Group, which is an ASX listed top 200 company, and served as Managing Director from 1987 to 2003. Rod has over 40 years’ experience in construction and property development. He is also a director of Aria Property Group a successful multi-award-winning residential property developer based in Brisbane. He was a member of the University of the Sunshine Coast Council from 1996 to 2002 serving as deputy Chancellor from 1998. He was also the founding Chairman of Matthew Flinders Anglican College. He served as a director of LifeFlight Australia Limited from 2002 to 2019.
Des Forrester
Des is a registered builder and also is a founding director of FKP Property Group with over 40 years’ experience in construction and property development. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1981 to join the group as Construction Manager of the Building Division. From 1986 to June 2000 he was the managing director of FKP Constructions Pty Ltd with responsibility for all construction activities Australia wide. He has recently built and developed SeaBreeze, Mooloolaba's newest residential apartment complex.
